Mark started my building career milling timber locally with an old chainsaw. I really liked the idea of timber dowels and little use of mechanical fixing. Timber is such a beautiful tactile and strong material. Today around Wollongong the old fibro shacks and commission homes are being demolished which creates a local supply of eucalyptus framing to be reused structurally and artistically. I have a great local window/door artisan that is almost exclusively reusing the old framing. My son Thomas is onboard and is bringing a fresh, young and enthusiastic approach to the scene. Happy days ahead.
